Privacy Policy

Based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swedish Dataskyddslag (2018:218). Last updated: 13 August 2026.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Vellano, a Swedish company registered in Sweden. If you have questions about how we handle your personal data, contact us at support@vellano.se.

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect what is necessary to fulfil our commitments to you:

Contact details (name, email, phone, delivery address) when you place an order or join our list.

Order and payment information needed to process and ship your purchases.

Technical data such as IP address and browser information when you visit vellano.se, for security and site improvement.

Communication you send us, for example emails about tailoring or repairs.

3. Why we process your data — legal basis

Our processing is based on the lawful grounds set out in Article 6 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as applied through the Swedish Dataskyddslag (2018:218):

To carry out a contract with you, or take steps before entering one (orders, deliveries, repairs).

To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records under Swedish law.

To pursue our legitimate interests in running the business securely, such as fraud prevention and service improvement.

With your consent, for example when you subscribe to our quiet notes — which you may withdraw at any time.

4. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Accounting and tax records are kept for the period required by Swedish law (normally seven years). Data given for marketing is kept until you ask us to stop.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with parties who help us run the house — payment providers, shipping carriers, and IT services that act as processors under GDPR Article 28. They may process data only on our instructions and within the EU/EEA unless adequate safeguards are in place. We never sell your data.

6. Your rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR and the Dataskyddslag you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.

Have inaccurate data corrected.

Have your data erased (the right to be forgotten), where applicable.

Restrict or object to certain processing.

Receive your data in a portable format.

Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

Lodge a complaint with the Swedish authority for privacy protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

7. Cookies

Vellano uses cookies only to make the site work as it should. Under the Swedish Electronic Communication Act (LEK, lagen om elektronisk kommunikation) we ask for your consent for any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent and clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and restricted access within the company. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to keep risk as low as reasonably possible.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our practice. The latest version is always available at vellano.se/privacy, with the date shown below.
